About SSC
Staff Selection Commission is known as SSC. A government department in India called SSC is in charge of hiring people for a variety of positions in the various Ministries or Departments of the Government of India as well as in Subordinate Offices. SSC holds a number of exams each year to choose qualified applicants for a range of job openings, including SSC CHSL, SSC CGL, SSC JE, SSC CPO, SSC GD, SSC MTS, and stenographer. The SSC is a departmental office that reports to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Its staff is made up of a Chairman, two Members, and a Secretary/Exam Controller.
To make hiring decisions for all Group "B" positions in the various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India and their attached and subordinate offices with pay scales that have a maximum of Rs. 10,500 or less, and all non-technical Group "C" positions in the various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India and their attached and subordinate offices, with the exception of those positions that are expressly exempt from the Staff Selection Commission's Minimum
The SSC Exam Syllabus Is As Follows,
1. Preliminary Exam
The Tier I exam is a written, objective multiple-choice test that has four sections and covers the following topics:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
2. Main Exam
The Tier II exam is a written objective multiple-choice test divided into four portions, sometimes known as "Papers," and it covers the following topics:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Statistics
- English Language and Comprehension
- General Studies
3. Descriptive Paper Exam
A test administered using pen and paper is considered to be "offline" and requires candidates to write letters, essays, and sometimes summaries and applications. The exam can be taken in Hindi or English at the discretion of the candidate.
4. Computer And Data Entry Proficiency Tests
There may be additional exams needed to qualify for certain positions. For instance, the physical fitness test and medical check conducted by the Central Police Organization (CPO). Thousands of people take the SSC exam every year in an effort to land one of the few stable government jobs that are open. The exam is therefore very competitive.
Approaches To Preparing
- Maintain your knowledge of the GA part; they are additional bonus points.
- Revision is necessary for English concepts; never stop practising.
- If you don't review formulae and shortcuts frequently, you tend to forget them, therefore staying up to date with math is important.
- Although reasoning doesn't require frequent review, you don't want to waste your preparation time on it because you can get a 90–100% on it.
